The main difference is he wants the hands to follow the lowerbody. And thinks trying to do something with the upperbody prevents them from following the lower body.

There is no way you can have a CIRCULAR HAND PATH and do the fence drill. Hey BHL have you ever heard of a circular hand path? Well I'm gonna get hypothetical with all of you and lets say that every major leaguer did the fence drill for two hours a day until the first game this year. I believe we would have about 3 perfect games and 100 broken bats within the first 2 weeks. You cannot hit at that level without a circular hand path. Don't give me an example and say ARod doesn't have a CHP because he does.

Look at the Bonds clip from behind and see his hand path and try emulating it in the fence drill. BHL don't go use a 15" tee ball bat and come back and say you can. I suggest you trust someone who has studied the swing more and just doesn't rely on "MLB Experience" as Epstein does to get his word out and influence the masses and therefore MAKE A BIGGER PROFIT. Thanks.

"mutually exclusive"? can you clarify? That was a pretty vague post and I'm not sure what you mean. But a circular hand path is an essential part of a good swing.
