jack....“Can you (or Paul) explain how a linear force applied to a bat will induce angular displacement of the bat-head?” ..........this might be a good time to remind you and others that the linear vs. rotation dispute focuses too much on the "A to B" notion, as if linear = a straight line....the fact is, although linear does mean somewhat less of a chp than rotation, with linear there is still "angular displacement of the bat-head"......the more meaningful distinction in R vs. L is WHEN this starts taking place (refer to my post earlier in this same thread)......you need to focus less on hand path and more on WHEN.......
