Thanks for your response. See, Slo-pitch is all I have ever known. I haven't played baseball. Do you still feel for slo-pitch that rotational power is better than linear motion? The major slo-pitch players claim that the overlap grip is used to lengthen the bat for extra leverage. That is why a majority of them use it. How does that help their swing? I definitely gain more batspeed on my meter when I use it. Why is that? Should I twist my hips before my shoulders? People claim that I try to pull the bat thru the ball rather than power it thru with my top hand. However, I consistently achieve more distance off the tee when I start my hands back as far as I can get them. This leaves me no choice but to pull the bat thru because my hips and shoulders have already come thru and my arms are stretched way out behind me. All help is welcomed, thank you.
