I'm curious how golfers in the Long Drive competitions hit? Anyone have any footage? Any chance their swings are more similar to [power] baseball hitters than normal golfers?

Sandman,

You can view the 2003 Long Drive championship video at

Brian Pavlet is ranked #1 in the world, you might look at his mechanics. I can't say that the power drivers have mechanics that apply to anyone other than power drivers. Typically lots of back foot hitting, angle of shoulders relative to hips exceeding 105 degrees, extremely long shaft lengths, etc., that create long drives at the expense of accuracy.
