just to clarify. Do you favor then striding closed like most major leaguers and open up violently like Renteria, or Giles? then do you favor cocking the lead knee and rotate it violently towards pitchers at toe touch in order to launch the swing? I kind of struggle with that one because it creates a lot of swaying in the swing. should we rotate smoothly then as opposed to violently?

Hi Toti

Over the past few years, most of my swings have been with a heavy bag. This has shortened my stride and I find the “knee cock” preferable. --- Toti, I do not find terms like “explosive” or “violent” to be constructive with my workouts. They conjure up images of shock, tense or ridged muscles and movements. I perform better thinking in terms of smooth, powerful, ever-accelerating movements.
