Hello,
> > This may not be the right place to ask but my son is in his last year of T-ball and he is a very good player. The only problem is that he does not have a lot of power in his bat. Can anyone give me some tips for improving his power? He has good form but I cant seem to make that increase his power. He really wants to hit better so I thought I would look around for some instruction.

Educate yourelf (which you are doing) and your son will have the best possible teacher, one who cares. I'm not a big fan of T-work...the video will help explain why. Good luck you're on the right track my friend.

You said exactly what i was going to say. in exactly the same order i was going to say them. the reason i give that advice is i'm learning to be the best coach i can be by folling your advice, which is... get the CD, ask questions, watch clips, ask questions, then i've done something a little different. i hit the bag with my daughter and concentrate on one aspect of the swing untill it is memorized by her muscles. then add the next componet of the swing onto the memorized first componet. if the rotation let's say isn't properly executed 100% of the swings, then don't install the next part of the swing until the rotation is in a groove. so you have to learn what the proper rotation LOOKS like so you can recognize it when your son or daughter does it. buy the tape, learn what it looks like and then ask us some more questions. when you read something that resonates with you then try it out. i'd suggest that you seriously try to swing the bat also. it helps you to explain it more easily to your son and at the same time makes you more credible with him.
Coach i use a bag and you don't... that's were we part ways. no biggy though. Happy Holildays!!!! Rich
P.S. i just reread my post and where did i get the idea that you don't use a bag to practice against???
