Would you explaining a little further what you mean by, “keeping slack in the lead arm throughout the swing”. As Pro Hitter stated in his post, a number of great hitters have their lead-arm extended fairly straight across their chest at initiation and for a good portion of the swing. . --- I would be more comfortable saying the lead-arm is a slave to body rotation and the un-shrugging of the lead-shoulder. But I would agree that during initiation the top-hand is pulling the lead-hand and arm to the back-shoulder.
