dbc,
I bought Epstein's tapes AFTER I learned quite a bit from the written word. Of course seeing a picture is better than reading about it, but it doesn't make reading any less valuable.
I went a couple of years reading and reading Tom Guerry's posts, Jack's, Epstein's, and everything related to rotational on the Fastpitch Forum, Batspeed, Epstein, and Setpro. I began to VISUALIZE the physics and bio-mechanics of the rotational swing. It did take some serious reading...critical reading.. to form this picture.
See rotational on Epstein's tapes then further tweaked/fine tuned the Visualization gained through reading. It made understanding Epstein's, and I'm sure Jack's tapes, that much easier.
Respectfully, you're way off base here. On the other hand, there are people who are too impatient to really take the time to read and understand. Anyone who takes the time to read the many posts at this site and Epstein's site will learn tons and tons of stuff on the benefits of rotational AND tips on making corrections.
