contact with ball

I would like to get opinions about the contact of the bat when it strikes the ball at different pitch levels. Just my opinion that I teach my daughter would be high stike top half, hip high the middle of ball and knee high bottom half.
I ask this question as her coach ripps into her to hit the top half no matter what level the pitch is and I see to many one hop bounces to the pitcher, third baseman and so on when its a knee high pitch. The coachs thought prosess explained to her is in baseball the ball comes down from the pitcher and in softball it comes flat from the hip.

For my daughter she is the only one who hits rotational on her team out of 15 players and this weekend was on the bench a few games as she was told to stop trying to hit homeruns.

1 for 7 with 5 hard hit fly balls the outfielders ran down and caught and where all knee high pitches. Just my opinion they were quality at bats.
