I've been around a lot of baseball and softball players and parents. Every year I hear parents that want their kids to play in an older group because they are too good for the kids they are playing with.

I usually would disagree with moving kids up but from tee-ball to coach pitch I would make the change. Coach pitch will get the kid used to getting timing and developing an idea of the strike zone.

Your league needs to have the flexability to make these changes. Your kid will never be done hitting off the tee. That's part of baseball.

Good Luck
