I am thinking a lot of us who are over 30 years old should post clips of our swings, our 60 sprint times, bench press and squat stats and try to get a pro contract. What do you all think? Coach C paved the way with his MLB quality cut.

You can bench and squat all you want but that doesnt mean you can play pro ball. Please get real, for a 30 + yr old position player to make the majors out of nowhere like ure speaking of is unreal and frankly not possible if you have not been playing pro ball for a while. Melvin, I hope this was a joke, I have a beatiful swing and run a 6.6 at best 60 time, but I still trying to get into a college and not even considering a pro contract because those players are unreal.

> I want to see a 30+ year old come out and run a 6.6 60 yard dash time. If you still run that you would have run a 6.3 or 6.4 in your prime which is ludicrous speed. I'm fast for pro baseball and I consistently run a 6.7 (stole 51 bases my first full pro season in A Ball). The best 60 time I ever ran was when the scout who drafted me got an itchy trigger finger cause he wanted me so bad that he clocked me at a very generous 6.55 and I run a consistent 4.5 40 time. I'd love to see a guy who hasn't played in a long time who can run a 6.6 sixty and have a beautiful stroke. I work my butt of at this game and I wouldn't make either one of those claims and I led the stinkin Texas League (AA) in hitting this year (albeit at .302). Anyway, I must say this though. I am thoroughly impressed with the swings I see on this site. You guys do a marvelous job and your kids' swings really, really impress me. There are very effective communicators of the swing here which is a gift that not everyone in the game has. So my advice as a minor league ballplayer would be ask questions and listen. Pick these guys brains cause that is what I am doing. Keep learning and maybe you'll be able to teach your children to surpass your achievements, but don't live vicariously through them. They'll apply enough pressure on themselves to worry about carrying the weight of your failed dreams with them. The kid's swings I've seen here show me an excellent foundation and I'm interested to see where that foundation gets them. Just wanted to rant for a second.

Thanks Andy. My Son and I are rooting for you. Clearly your doing a lot of things right yourself and I admire your obvious work ethic.
