Hi Bob

I have often ask coaches that promote the “fence drill” if they had ever had their hitters actually hit a ball or were they just taking dry swings. -- When we were shooting video for our “Swing Analysis DVD,” one of the Astro Minor League hitters was consistently hitting balls over 400 feet. We asked him if he would hit a few tossed balls while practicing the drill. He missed the first five or six and never got a fair ball to the outfielders.
