Notice how he pulls his back arm in. This action will cause a slight closing of the front shoulder (try it yourself). Myself and others believe the inward turn we see major leaguers perform is the result of the action of the back arm, as opposed to a conscious effort to close the front shoulder. There is a difference as a conscious effort to close the front shoulder usually results in closing the shoulder too much.
