John,

As Coach C had said "It is my opinion that the majority of amateurs are excessive with the body, thus leaving the arms behind."

The point of the clip was as an example of this, as easily seen from the overhead view.

The funny thing is, this long swing is his "drill swing off a tee, trying to please Dad", and is quite different from his "game swing w/ a pitcher". Specifically, his game swing's nowhere near as long (though he does drop his hands during the stride a bit much). However, I suspect that, even during games, his hips are still far outracing his shoulders.
