My 10 year old son is a good hitter, but always hits toward 1st base/right field, so quite predictable.

he is probably pulling off of the ball. If he hits inside pitches to the right side of the field then his sholders are coming off the plate and causes him to be late. Try telling him to throw his hands where he wants to put the ball and let his barell follow. Don't try to swing the bat; use your hands.
