Three things I have found to have helped.

A - Bat Fins. They increase resistance without increasing the weight of the bat. Therefore, no interference with mechanics.

B - Broomstick and practice golf balls. Use in soft toss or direct pitching. The light weight of the stick accomplishes underloading training while the practice golf balls help with hand-eye coordination.

C - "Dry Swinging" with a bat one-two ounces heavier than bat normally used. I don't recommend using for BP, however. Game conditions should always be simulated in BP in my opinion.
