Re: how to fix a loop in your swing

Posted by: Micky (whitelion_01@hotmail.com) on Sat Aug 30 11:08:03 2003

Hello,

-------lately during my swing I've been looping my swing and popping up everything. >>>>I come down then i just make a big uppercut<<<<. I dont even notice im doing it until I watch my swing in slo-mo. Would anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?-------

What do you mean by >>>>I come down<<< What part or parts of your body are causing you to "come down". Are you dropping your hands, drop one shoulder, drop both shoulders, bending over slightly, or bending your stride leg or too much. I'm sure i'm forgetting / unaware of other problems that may cause you do <>>.

Also, do you pop up all pitches? just outside pitches? low pitches? high pitches? inside pitches? etc... Or do you <> only when your timing is off?

I would also suggest that you tape yourself when you are hitting very well and save that to compare when you are not hitting well. Very few people have no "hitches" in their swing.
