Sandman ,

Centered means the sweet spotof the bat should align with the players spine from the first base box view at toe touch. It is another way to see if his shoulders loaded the bat into the proper position(slot) behind the player. Another way is to say are his hands back at toe touch. I like the centered bat because it is a shoulder function and not a hand and arm function.
