great hitters have no clue

Posted by: toti (tenox@hotmail.com) on Thu Aug 7 02:14:05 2003

hi

i am sick of good hitters giving false clues. most of them have no idea why they are productive. bonds says "loosening the hips" and what he means is "clearing the hips early". what a secret! oh my. crap.just because he is bonds people will go uh! ah!!!!!!!!

truth is that they are not instructors. they only execute.

i regularly do batting practice with our best hitter in our team. and sometimes he tells me things that make no sense, like pre-extending the hands, otherwise known as casting or sweeping. but this guy is the best, switch hits for power and average. obviously, one thing is what he "feels" and other very different one is what he does. that īs why players make bad coaches many a time. he would not be able to put up his great numbers if he casted or preextended, would he>?

but we have to put up with them and say yes just because they have it down. they are producers...but they dont have the truth. do they?
