If you stand directly in front of the batter, the sweet spot 3-4 inches of the barrel should be lined up with his spine at heel drop. This is call having the bat centered. Now you might say that is wrapped but it is not unless your wrist have broken down less than 90 degrees. Your elbow is bent at 90 and your shoulder turn places the bat here. Only from here are you able to generate good bat speed to all fields. Don't confuse the waiting position with the launch position. Look , you will be surpriised at what you really see....
