Re: Re: Swinging down at the ball (chop)

My 12yr old son has recently started swinging down at the ball? He's a big kid with plenty of power who can hit the ball hard, but has this tendency to swing down at it. I'm looking for a technique or training tool to rid him of that ugly swing before it becomes harder to break him of the habit. Is there any other mechanics in his swing I should be looking at?

at that point must be coming down to his side allowing the top hand to pull th

e bat back toward the catcher and into the plane of the ball.
