Breakthrough on Rotation

Posted by: Black Hole Lexicographer (Knight1285@aol.com) on Sun Jul 9 00:41:43 2000

Dear Jack,
I was viewing Steve Ferroli's "Hitting the Ted Williams Ways, vol. 1," and discovered a mechanic that really generates lower body torque. The problem was that I was not keeping the kness bent enough, but has since alleviated it by bending both knees, and swiveling hard to my left. By keeping the front foot pointing towards home plate, I just keep my balance, and let the toe open 90 degrees and allow the front knee to reach full extension naturally. The back knee I "spun in a bent position," much like the Steve Ferroli model. I opine that such a mechanic causes great centrifugal force to be generated. Now, if I keep using top hand torque, I can probably clear more 300 ft softball fences just by using this mechanic.

Sincerely,
The Black Hole Lexiographer
