John,
My suggestion would be to measure the time it takes for an average fastball to reach the contact zone(90 mph fastball takes.416 seconds)& try to replicate that release to contact in many of your drills. For example:Shorter faster BP, turn your machines up or move closer, speed up &/or shorten up your front toss, etc.

I'm not suggesting that you eliminate your stroke development time, just increase the amount of game speed or above work.Mechanics developed at slower speeds often fall apart when the game speeds up.Mechanics developed at higher speeds are often more efficient because the higher speeds force your body to be more efficient.(i.e tighter linkage in the load unload sequence, more efficient transfer of energy through the kinetic chain, etc.)
