Hi Jack
Yes the little guys five or six years old start with their rear
elbow down.I string whiffle balls on a plastic coated three thirty
seconds inch cable. They learn the concept of rotation and keeping
the bat head on top of the cable as they throw the ball down the cable.They go back and forth from the cable to the heavy bag.Much
the same as you do with the bag.this way i can monitor all of their
body movements.Then we move to the tee.As they progress i raise the
cable on the pitchers end so the trojectory is downward.I can kneel
under the cable and smulate a pitch by throwing the the balls down
the cable, this simulates a live pitch they swing at.I really don't
like the back elbow too high.
