jimmy jimmy jimmy!
i am very disapppointed to hear you be a naysayer... that kind of negative mindset GUARANTEES FAILURE!! if you cannot conceive of success you will not achieve success.. so you want to tell me you don't even want to think you can conceive of success?? then YOU WILL FAIL!!!
I don't want to say that to anyone, least of all you... lose that attitude!! you probably have all the physical skills & athletic ability it takes to succeed... THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM!!! so it must be mental aspect that needs work..the guys who succeed are the ones whose MENTAL ASPECT is such that they can take an objective view of themselves & realize what their weaknesses are, & try to make adjustments so they will improve... it's all mental!!
most coaches don't understand that part, where they need to work the mental part of succeeding... for that reason there are so many guys right on the edge who fall off the ledge because they didn't get the proper mental nourishment they needed at the most critical time, which might have put them over the top, so they would understand what it would take to do what was needed so they ended up in the right place at the right time, mentally, glove-wise, & bat-wise..that's the crime... the coaches fail the players because they cannot identify the problem & make the hitter not only UNDERSTAND the error, but also
WHY it is a weakness, then understand what must be changed, & make him understand WHY the change will work.. if you cannot identify the problem, you will not conceive of the solution..
all these guys who grieve on me want to tell me everything the MLB hitters do is just wonderful, but they can't tell me why they fail so often & what they should do adjust... baseball is a game of adjustments.. to think everything is just fine with you & to stay the same is to slide out of the league.
i'm not gonna sit here & let you tell me you can't..I KNOW YOU CAN!!
IF I CAN HAVE FAITH IN YOU, THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS HAVE FAITH IN YOU.
i am guessing you are not too old.. probably less than 20... why do i say this? because becoming an MLB player is a maturing process.. some mature faster than others..others get to a certain point & hit a wall..that is the maturing process... & you ain't there yet... time to start growing up, buddy. start by having a positive attitude about yourself.
