What you describe is the basis of Yeager’s contention. He believes that when the lead-hip’s forward progress is blocked, linear momentum developed during the stride causes the back-hip to rotate around the blocked front-hip – like a gate swinging around on hinges. However, there are a few serious problems with this contention, as I will point out in the clip.
