Am I On Target Jack?

Hi Jack.

If I understand you correctly, a tightened sweep of the bat will create more batspeed on inside pitches. The way I finally understand CHP was to extend my atems straight out with the bat, and walk in a circle. I noticed the bat followed the same path. Walk slower, and the bat moves slower. However, walk faster, and the bat moves faster.

Now, after walking in a circle with the arms extended, bring the bat back a little more (i.e., still horizantal) and keep the front arms straight, but bend the back arm. Now follow the same circular walk. This should produce a tighter sensation of centrifugal force.

Keep working your way in until your back elbow is bent 90 degrees with your front arm straight, and you can do it.

Now, I would never advocate hitting in this way. But will it drive a point home? Absolutely!

Sincerely,
BHL
