I hear coaches advising hitters to bring their hands to the ball. What do they mean by this? If I took it literally, I would have some hurt fingers! I'm assuming it's good advice and would like to know how to execute it.

I have heard many professionals say that the fence drill will help you accomplish this. Good luck in developing a short and compact swing!
