torque

ive read when you hold a bow and arrow its the same way you torque the bat. So when im in the batters box waiting for the pitch i should be applying that type of force to the bat. In jacks pitcure of torque he shows the bottom hand applying force toward the pitcher while the other hand is the other way,HOWEVER that is not how you hold a bow and arrow is it not?
