Jack,

> I have coached girls fastpitch softball for ten years, have watched tons of videos, gone to all kinds of clinics, read quite a few books, and seen a few college games. A common thread that I have found taught and used by girls is the linear approach to hitting. It is incorporated in all types of drills and philosophies of most coaches I have encountered. What have you seen as far as rotational hitting in relation to girls fastpitch softball?
-----
What do you mean? Are you asking whether rotational hitting can work in girls fastpitch? Answer: YES. Just because all the drills and coaches in the game teach linear does not mean that is good or that it is right. In fact - look at the production of these coaches and the quality of these drills. Maybe that is the reason nobody can score runs or pressure the elite pitchers. Most of the big time coaches in the game of softball are ex-pitchers or have pitching backgrounds and know nothing about hitting. If that is who you want to copy - good luck. If not - read on about rotational mechanics and go with what you think is BEST.
