Re: Bat Speed and Girls Fastpitch Softball

I have not purchased the tapes on rotational hitting but we have had some of our girls taking lessons from a hitting instructor who has played in the Major League system. Our girls hit the ball better than they every have before. I think that what we are taught is both rotational with a little linear as well. The difference that I see is the force in which the ball comes off the bat. One of our girls hit two home runs the other night in a High School game that just carried like you couldn't imagine. We got rid of the short, choppy, choke and poke swings and replaced them with a swing that just blows me away every time I see them swing. You will fight with coaches that don't know the swing and are afraid of it, that I can tell you. Just don't be afraid to try something new. I am going to purchase the tapes myself to see how different it is but my opinion is that is not too different from where we are headed now.
