George,

Do you understand the concept that the barrel should be thrown in the direction that the ball will travel to the field?

Sometimes the speed of the barrel in a particular direction breaks through the hold of the top hand of even hitters that try to hold on with the top hand.

To duct tape kids hands to the bat is hilarious to me.

I agree with you that the top hand is the power hand, and is needed through the point of contact. But the top hand release vs. top hand on the bat at the finish is a pointless battle.

The focus should not be on the finish, the focus should be on the contact zone.
