the hard part

Posted by: rql () on Mon Apr 21 14:34:45 2003

I was in carolina this weekend for the usc-miss. state series, and as I watched bp I saw many from both teams just tee off with great mech. However when the games started many looked poor at the plate,I noticed that they were often off balance or just chased bad pitches with ugly swings ,however those that did hit well hit pretty consistent over the weekend. It seems to me that mechanics are able to be achieved far more often than hitters are able to be created. It also makes me think that their are tougher parts to becoming a successful hitter than just having good mechanics.
