Perhaps I knock on doors the wrong way, but I keep seeing "line up the door knocking knuckles" a lot of places. Yet the still photos I see of great hitters at point of impact have a palm up/palm down orientation of their hands. I'm going to use a potentially confusing description but here goes - the flat parts of fist (the part that would contact someone's nose if you were attempting to punch them) seemed to be lined up. This is not an alignment of the "knocking" knuckles with each other, in fact it's quite different. Is this just terminology confusion? Or does it represent two distinct approaches to the grip?
