Excrutiatingly Urgent Question for Jack on Hip Rotation????

Posted by: Black Hole Lexicographer (Knight1285@aol.com) on Tue Jun 20 07:38:07 2000

Dear Jack,
I apologize for repeating posts on this subject, but I could not get through to you.

I have noticed, however, that you, in your article, state that hip rotation is derived by "both legs pushing in opposite direction.

My question is:

IF I GET INTO MY NORMAL STANCE, IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN PROVE THIS BY ATTEMPTING TO PUSH MY LEGS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS--COULD YOU BRIEFLY DESCRIBE HOW I COULD GET THE FEEL OF BOTH LEGS PUSHING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS, AND TO MAXIMIZE THAT FEELING????

I ask this question since I believe it is a vital link to my slump. Please respond as soon as possible so I can practice the dynamics of hip rotation, and leave my slump behind.

The reason is because you have told me in previous posts how vital hip rotation is, and right now I want to use your response to practice just my hip rotations mechanics--and make sure they are correct--before adding a bat.

Sincerely,
The Black Hole Lexicographer
