Re: Proper rotational movement

I have a question regarding a cue that seems to work with my sons. If a guy had a bat attached to his back hip in such a fashion so the bat handle extended from hip to hip and the barrel stuck out into the hitting area, and if the player rotated his hips to hit the ball with the bat, would this represent the proper rotation for rotational hitting? Our cue is to hit the ball with the back hip. This helps them stay back and not lunge. It helps them let the ball come to them instead of going out after it. And it seems to help with timing. They are concentrating on their hip area and using the large muschles of the legs and torso to get the bat (hip) moving, not the arms. When we swing this way it seems to increase bat speed because we don't use our arms at all. We stay connected. All they do is hold onto the bat and maybe lower it to the zone.
