I don't think you can really come up with a formula since once again it depends on the strength and style of the player and the type of pitcher she is facing. From previous discussions on this board it would seem real strong college and some HS girls are using 34" (-8). I guess you would go down from there. My daughter (HS player) is moderate strength and uses 32" & 33" (-10) depending on the speed of the pitcher and what she is trying to do (bunting or slapping for example). Basically it is going to come down to trial and error. I suppose even bat construction will come into play and just like the golfer she will always be experimenting for that right feel. Somebody more expert than me probably can give you a better answer.
