Can you suggest a bat?

Hello guys. My son plays in a Federation League that went to the BB Core and at 14u he has to swing a -3. A few of the kids are going to wooden bats for bat speed and I am thinking of going to a -5, 31" wood. My son is only 104 lbs @ 5'3" and the -3 dont seem to get around fast enough to generate the bat spped needed. Hes not late on the swing but just dont have the bat speed . Any suggestions?
