It is my experience that too much is made of bat weight when comparing a single ounce. Two pennies taped to the knob of the bat will add an ounce of weight to the bat. More attention should be giving to the length. A bat should be long enough so it can still be controlled. The longer the bat the more leverage can be generated and there is more room for weight distibution. That is why in golf a driver is longer than a wedge
