My son's hitting instructor promotes a short swing he says my son has a long swing can i use your method with either type of swing my son is 12 years old and as an 11 year old he hit numerous balls well over 250 ft .So my question is can I use Batspeeds methods with either swing tpe

I guess the question here is, does your son really have a long swing? Optimal would be short to the ball and max bat speed at contact. That is what Batspeeds "methods" promote. Generally any two piece, casting swing could be considered a long swing. If your son is being taught knob to the ball mechanics, then he is being taught a swing where the bat head is taking a longer path to the ball. Video of his swing would be nice.
