Re: Re: Re: Re: Nice Try..Now learn something!
Now you are starting to get my point...you are exactly correct....most hitters are off balance. But its because of the way they are taught. But if every one casts the bat to hit the , some will cast it and get better results than others.

Timing is a big factor in hitting, but what moves when the ball is on the tee. Just the batter, and they are still off balance. because that is the way they are taught. I have measured about 1000 hitters that are not off balance, and they have the best overall swings. but technique is not the only factor.

One of the key assets of the great ones is their ability to adapt.to keep up with and ahead of the changes that give an edge.Unfortunately, especially once you are grown, the body doen't have enpough plasticity to restructure itself to meet the new stresses that are required. This may be the trouble with Big Mac's back, along with lot's of other accumulating factors.
Which knee disabled Mac ?
I would think the front knee snapping would be the biggest stress making the front knee the most vulnerable. Was this the case ?
I think Epstein does a great job breaking down the separation/drop and tilt phase. You have to separate to set up a stable axis of rotation and not lunge. He really explains this well.Learning this portion of the swing is usually a good place to start if balance is poor.
