Teacherman please tell us does the hitter's head face the ball at contact.....or better put the the hitter track the ball all the way to the bat?????

I think its a fact that the batter does not see the ball hit the bat. He has made a judgement on where the ball will be and swings there. I think it was Epstein that I first heard talk about this. As far as the head facing the ball I'd have to say no not directly.
