WOODEN BATS

Posted by: TP (woodlakebaseball@aol.com) on Wed Feb 12 11:46:05 2003

I THINK SWINGING A WOODEN BAT IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES IS DIFFERENT FROM SWINGING A MINUS 11.5, 8.5, or 5 metal bat. Each calls for different mechanics.

Go look at the players in 1950 0r 60's, you will see different approach than today. Back then the bats were even heavier that the woods of today.
